The City of Spencer in conjunction with the West Virginia Black Walnut Festival and the support of the Spencer Veterans Affairs Office is honored to announce that the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall will be in Downtown Spencer during the 56th Annual Black Walnut Festival October 14-17, 2010.

Roane Arts and Humanities Council News |

Roane Arts & Humanities Council will hold their annual Sweetheart Dinner/Theater on Saturday, February 13 at the Heritage Park Community Building, starting at 6:00 p.m.. Dinner will consist of prime rib or chicken picatta, baked potato, green beans, salad, roll, dessert, and drink. At 7:00 p.m. members of the Broadway Review cast will present a collection of love songs . The price is $15 a plate. Patrons pay $10 a plate. Reservations are required. To reserve a ticket, call Sharon of CTF Business at 304-927-3650. The deadline for tickets is Thursday, Feb. 11. For those just wanting to see the entertainment, the cost will be $5. |

The Spencer Antique Mall was voted as the Best Antique Store in the annual Reader's Choice Award edition of the Parkersburg News and Sentinel. The mall is housed in the old G.C. Murphy building in Downtown Spencer and features about 40 vendors selling everything from antiques, crafts, handcrafted jewelry, blacksmithing equipment and antique guns.
