Spring is here at last:

            First, I want to thank everyone who helped in any way and to those who attended our 150th Birthday Celebration for the City of Spencer on March 14th.  The Municipal Building was filled with people during our opening ceremony and hundreds of folks took part in the events that followed at the Heritage Park Community Building.

            City Employees cooked and passed out approximately 1,500 hot dogs.  It is certainly a happy occasion when this many show up to share their support and pride for our community – a community so loved by many.

            This year will be an exciting time for all of us – there are many events planned through out the year and we welcome ideas from everyone.

            The Easter Egg Hunt was held on March 21st with hundreds of kids participating. Call City Hall for a schedule of events or go to our web-site www.cityofspencer.com.
